Around 1999-2000, Alan Brown joined singer Chris Melville,
guitarist Joel Haines and drummer Tony Hopkins, and the
Grand Central Band was formed. 'Cook St Sessions' was
recorded in 2000 and for this line-up, Alan played hammond
organ exclusively. The line-up has since changed
dramatically and now features Karika Turua on bass and Josh
Sorenson on drums. Alan now plays Rhodes and Korg Trident
(and Clavinet & Melodica!)

'Brightest Star' was recorded in 2004 and four of these tracks can be heard by clicking on the 'Listen Now' link on the right. Some of the tracks can also be heard on download.com.
There are also new files (as of July 2006) you can listen to under the 'Bar 3' playlist. These were recorded off the desk at Bar 3 in Sky City, when we were playing there regularly. The quality turned out pretty good thanks to our tech, Stu, so we have put them online for your listening pleasure. They are mainly covers, but done in a Grand Central Band style...
The studio albums will be available for sale on-line soon.
